On April 16. 1963 he wrote the missive that is now known to all as the “Letter From Birmingham Jail. ” This missive was directed towards the reverend and fundamentally all Christian people. I believe it is safe to state that this missive would be considered hostile to many in the Christian community during the clip it was written. The reverends make the accusal that the presentations that are traveling on are “untimely” . Mr. King Jr. responds to this by indicating out now they have in fact have delayed many presentations: “Then it occurred to us that Birmingham’s mayoralty election was coming up in March and we quickly decided to prorogue action until after election day” . and “When we discovered that the Commissioner of Police Safety.
