Describe some of the influence of Latin music in the US in the early part of the twentieth century. Some of the influences would have been the number of Cubans coming to the US. They introduced a type of music that the US had not been accustomed to. They also introduced the Rumba dance which Americans loved.

The Palladium was once a dance studio, but now the Home of the Mambo.

It brought different races together to dance. 5. How did the television and films Increase the exposure of the US to Latin music? By putting hopes and struggles of the Cubans Into songs. 6. How did Latin music influence rock music?Latin music was everywhere, when the musicians started writing songs, people darted writing songs that they were familiar with and influenced rock and pop music. 7. Why do you think Latin music had such a great influence on the development of popular music? Latin music influenced the development of popular music due to the number of band members from different cultures and music backgrounds that came and went.

8. Do you think that any of the music that you listen to has Latin influences? Why or why not? I think all music has some Latin influence because that is the root of all music.
