Marital Rape

4 April 2015
Discusses laws & legal definitions, assesses at-risk women by victim demographics (race, age, education, income). Includes charts.

Research has also confirmed that rape is a form of control of women by men and by society. As a result, women try and keep within boundaries they feel safe in. Eva’s husband may have been trying to exert this control and power over her. His violence, says Eva, was aggravated by the fact that he wanted ownership of the house, a house Eva says she ‘starved to buy’ before her marriage. But she was resisting.
