The Performance Appraisal System is when management examines and evaluates the work behavior of an employee. These results will be used to provide feedback to the employee of success and areas of improvement. The work environment may be better when there is open communication between the supervisor and the employee. The performance appraisal will also enhance the employee work when they have an idea as to how the supervisor views his or her work performance.

A well prepared and well delivered performance appraisal can benefit the company as well as benefit the employee.
