Dear God, Almighty, the best teacher ever, I love you. Thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity to fulfill what I believe is my purpose in life; to reach out to the youth, lead them to the threshold of learning, to touch lives and be an instrument for the development of others. Thank you for everything that opening my eyes to see the wonders of this profession; it is indeed, noble. Thank you very much for you has provided me strength and wisdom during the most trying times.
Thank you for the hard times for they led me to recognize my strength, taught me the importance of knowing myself, my learners and the parents, teachers, administrators and the rest of the stakeholders that I have come to respect more. I humbly ask for your continuous blessing, that I may have more to share with the learners, and for your continuous guidance, that I may be able to guide the learners to the right path in return. Help me to be merciful to my students, to balance mercy and discipline in the right measure for each student, to give genuine praise as much as possible, to give constructive criticism in a manner that is patatable to my students. Help me remain conscientious enough to keep my lessons always interesting, to recognize what motivates each of my students, to accept my student’s limitations and not hold it against them. Help me not to judge my students too harshly, to be fair to all, to be a good role model, but most of all Lord, help me to show your love to all of my students. Amen.
