Quality has become an important issue for companies, and in today’s global market, it is no surprise that quality management has taken on global ramifications. Despite the recognition that quality is an important issue for companies, there are no truly international standards which seek to define and establish quality measurements. Two very different approaches, Total Quality Management (TQM) and standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have evolved in recent decades.
