Athletes are people who are determined, committed, aggressive, competitive, throng in good physical condition, and goal setters. An athlete is a person who is determined. Once they set their mind on something, they do not give up until they achieve the goal.
They are committed people who want to succeed. Muhammad All once said, “l hated every minute of training, but I said, “Don’t quit, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion”. ” Athletes go through the pain and conditioning of training to be the best.They do not give up; they stick out the tough to obtain the good. Like Michael Jordan who was cut from his high school basketball am and Jackie Robinson who overcame race barriers, athletes are not stopped by defeat. They commit their entire lives to their sport. Most athletes practice many hours every day of the week to make themselves better.

Even when they fail, they go forward and learn from the mistakes. Tiger Woods changed his swing in 2002 after winning eight majors because he didn’t feel it was perfect. They are never defeated. They do not give up.Competitiveness is part of an athlete’s everyday life. They compete in their games. Mental strength is necessary to push through the pain and sweat of training and conditioning. Mental strength is necessary to overcome the fear of defeat on the field or court or to focus on the task or mission in front of you. Physical strength is necessary to be able to actually do the sport. An athlete needs physical strength to put the ball where it needs to go and to fight Off the defenders. Hysterical strength is required for game stamina. Athletes usually have toned, shaped bodies from months of conditioning and exercising. Athletes in good physical shape are ones that have the endurance and strength to last the whole game.
Finally, athletes are goal setters. They set goals to train, win learn from mistakes and try one hundred percent. They do not stop trying until their goals are met. Good athletes are in good physical shape, are mentally and physically strong and set goals to make themselves better. There is so much more to an athlete than the definition of the word.Athletes are people who spend their everyday lives doing something they love. They are different from everyday people because they are committed to and determined to succeed.
They will go the extra length to achieve success. An unknown author once defined an athlete by writing, “l succeed because I am willing to do the things you are not. I will fight against the odds. I will sacrifice. I am not shackled by fear, insecurity or doubt. I am motivated by accomplishment, not pride. If fall, I will get up.
If I’m beaten, I will return. I will never stop getting better. I will never give up, ever. I am an athlete. “
